My 40th Birthday!

My 40th birthday was lots of fun! We went to see the new movie "Jungle Book" with the boys.  Then we went to 2 Jacks Pizza for dinner! While we were eating my brother Jacob and his wife walked in with a giant Storm Trooper balloon while they sang "Happy Birthday!"  It made my day!
My cake had so many candles that Mitchell had to make a bon fire out of some of them!
Being 40 is awesome!

Spring Break

For Spring Break we had the opportunity to spend some time with Dallan's parents!  We decided to spend a couple of days in the Delta area finding old family homes and graves.  We also went to Great Basin National Park, hiked to the great stone face, hunted for arrow heads, and ended by rock hunting at Topaz Mountain.

Before we left Spanish Fork we visited the Pioneer Cemetery (The Redd family is Dallan's direct ancestors and many of them are honored here)

Our first stop after leaving town was the old State Capital site located in Fillmore!
The original Utah State Capital building

The basement of the capital building complete with some jail cells

Dallan's great grandparents home in Holden (His mother, Patrice Moody's grandparent's (Wood's)

Holden Cemetery:   We also visited cemeteries in Holden, Delta, Hinckley, Fillmore and Oasis and found the graves of many family ancestors!
Dallan's Grandpa Bishop's boyhood home in Delta (His mother, Patrice Moody's Father (Verdell Bishop)
Dallan's father, Dean Moody's boyhood home in Delta

Dallan's great grandfather's home (Dallan's dad, Dean Moody's grandfather, MJ Moody)
The silo across the street where Dallan's great grandfather Moody (MJ Moody)  tried to save someone who had fallen in.

The Church where Dallan's Dad (Dean Moody) was baptized

On our trip we also went to Great Basin National Park!  The highlight for us was Lehman's Caves!  It was well worth the drive!

We ended our trip back in Delta!  We hiked to the Great Stone Face, hunted for arrow heads and stopped at the Old Fort.

On our way home we ventured to Topaz mountain where we were successful in finding some Topaz for our rock hunting enthusiasts!
