Josh in Autumn

Josh enjoyed Autumn with a book in his hand. When we were at the cabin over fall break, he read in the swing until the sun went down.

Josh is always on the hunt for a great skipping rock...

And he has become a master "skipper!"

I always thought I'd be afraid of having teenagers.
Josh is almost 13, and you know what?
I'm not scared anymore.
He's awesome.

Family Camp Out

We ended our summer with a family camp out at Bennion creek. We loved every minute.

Because the four wheelers make you feel extra brave and adventurous

Because the goggles bring out your inner swank

Because a camp fire to a little boy is pure magic

And because there is nothing quite as breath taking as God's creations.

The Last Days of Summer

Oh I love September evenings... We spent our last evenings of summer at the parks in our area with people we love. Life doesn't get much sweeter than that.

Sandy's Baptism

My sweet niece Sandy was recently baptized! They live a couple of hours away from us so we decided to make a weekend out of it!
The boys loved the hotel, the pool, the all you can eat Chinese buffet and cousin time!

Sandy's baptism was beautiful and there was such a sweet spirit there. Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day Sandy.
We love you sparkle girl!

First Days of School

 Father's Blessings
New Back Packs and Shoes
Lunches packed
But I'm never ready to let them go...

Josh started Junior High- seventh grade- this year.  I have been so proud of his positive attitude and courage.
Matthew is in 5th Grade- A grade I used to teach!  He has been so responsible and even joined the chess club!
Mitchell started Kindergarten!  He wants me to walk him to class each day, then stay in the hall while he puts his back pack away then goes to his seat.  Once he sits down he does the "I love you" sign with with both hands then give me a thumbs up.
Oh I miss them while they are away...can you blame me ?

Baadsgaard Reunion: At the Cabin

The morning of our reunion, the boys spent the morning shooting while the girls helped the kids with games.  When the boys came back, we all enjoyed a tasty lunch together then the girls went bowling.  If you reeeeaaally  insist on knowing who got the highest score without the bumper guards- well okay, it was ME!
After bowling we went to Mom and Dad's cabin for dinner, games and a fireside by Mom and Dad.
I am eternally thankful for my amazing family.
They fill my heart to overflowing every day.
