Majestic Sunsets

The sunsets in Hawaii were truly majestic!  Heaven feels close in  moments like this.

Snorkeling: The Day Dallan Almost Drowned

We were really excited to go snorkeling while we were in Hawaii because we hadn't tried it since our honeymoon in Mexico!
Dallan and Mark were the first to try it out while my friend Annie and I were content to read on the beach. After a few minutes I noticed Dallan swimming back to shore. I turned to Annie and said, "Does he look a bit panicked to you? I think he looks a bit panicked..." Then I went back to reading my book. Dallan crawled back onto the beach, gave us the thumbs up, but didn't move for a while. Later we learned he really was panicking and his story about almost drowning had us all rolling with laughter!  Looking back, I guess I could jumped in to check on him, but in my defense, my book was really good :)
The next day Dallan and I went snorkeling together and had a great time. The water was filled with vivid fish and sea life and we loved every minute!

Gardens at the Hyatt

One morning we walked to the nearby Hyatt Hotel to enjoy the gardens and a scrumptious breakfast! I loved the coconut syrup and wish I could have filled my suit case with it. Yum!

The Beach is Just so Romantic...

Going to Church and Visiting the Mountains

This was the view from the patio of our unit. It was simply stunning!

We loved attending church on Sunday morning and were touched by the kindness of the members.  In Relief Society leis were given to all of the visitors.  I was touched to learn that each one took over 3 hours to make.  What a labor of love!

That afternoon we spent some time in the mountains and even went to one of the wettest spots on earth!  We got caught in several tropical down pours on our trip and learned the real meaning of "soaked to the skin!" We loved it!

Morning Walks

Morning walks along the coastline were breath taking...
