My husband works for BYU athletics and this year we were blessed with the opportunity to go to Poinsettia bowl to watch the football team play San Diego State.
This trip was a tender mercy from heaven...my heart was so tender during our first holiday season without Caleb. We drove out of the snow into the sunshine and brought sweet Caleb with us. It was such a blessing to create sunny and happy memories together during a tender time.
We watched the game on a Thursday night, then spent Friday at the San Diego Zoo and Old Town.

I didn't even think of that. What you mothers have to go through makes my heart break! I'm so glad you were able to get away.
Oh I'm so glad you got to do something different, but also fun for Christmas this year. It's so hard on days like that and I also made sure we did something different. Love to you! Looks like you had a wonderful time. I know how much your heart must be missing Caleb. xxx
Oh, what wonderful pictures April. You certainly did make some great memories, and I see that "WINK" was with you the entire trip. Awesome. Loved the pictures from the zoo--The Koala bear is so cute--one of my favorites. David and I were there in 2007 with his ship reunion. We have friends in San Diego and went to the zoo with Vanessa and her little boy Harrison. David and I and two friends from Ohio (Navy association friends) also went to Old Town--that's a great place. Brings back wonderful memories for me. Thank you.
