A Family History Field Trip

We recently went on a Family History field trip with several members of my extended family!  We spent time at the property where my great grandparents used to live.  We visited the fields where they grew beets and others crops and even stopped at the creek where my grandpa jumped in and got his head stuck in the mud!  We also went to the old sugar factory where the beets were brought and sold. Those beautiful 40 acres of farmland stayed in the family until the time that my Dad was on his mission.  My Dad great up working in those fields.

This is the home where my Dad grew up.  I have fond memories of visiting my grandparents in this house.

Our last stop was at Pateetneet school.  My grandpa, who was a brick layer, built the amazing chimney!  We enjoyed mingling and enjoying some of our favorite family recipes together.

This is me with my wonderful parents!  I am so thankful for the legacy of love they have created for our family!

Oh I love these crazies!

It's a good thing my boys have my little sister Alisa to keep them in line!
