Dallan and I recently celebrated our 13 year anniversary! In those 13 years we haven't ever left our boys over night or even for a full day unless we've been in the hospital. I thought it was time for us to have a together day! I arranged for two nurses to sit with Caleb, and Amy and Aden offered to help with the other boys so we could spend the whole day together!
We went to the temple together and did sealings
Went out to lunch at Sparks
Did some shopping (Our boys were losing sleep because they were so excited The Son of Neptune had been released so we picked them up a copy!)
Went to a movie
Got dinner at Zupas
Then did the grocery shopping on our way home
I just loved having Dallan all to myself for a whole day!
We're definitely going to make it a tradition!

Happy Anniversary! We're in the same boat, never having left the boys as well, but you've got a good thing going.

Happy 13th anniversary to you both. Glad you had such a wonderful day together and that you had wonderful people to look after your precious sons. I agree with Jenny--don't wait another year. Do it again soon. It is good for the soul, and caretakers need to take care of themselves, too.
